Country music was born in the USA in the region of Appalaches in the XVII century. Rythmic, sentimental or emotional, it's origins directly come from Celtic folklore and Gospel. This was brought by anglo-saxon immigrants. The Country sound has greatly influenced what we call today comtemporary music, especially rock and roll.
